The Red Lion HMI course provides the student with the skills necessary to configure Red Lion’s feature rich operator interfaces for various application using Crimson 3.1 software.

The one day course aims to upskill a basic level on connectivity and creation of a responsive graphical Human Machine Interface, while delving deeper into the advanced and unique feature set of the Red Lion’s product range. Such as SMS/email notifications, remote access, datalogging, SQL and Cloud connectivity.

Each student will be provided with a FREE CR3000 4inch HMI and a copy of Crimson 3.1 configuration software. To gain the most from this training course, it is essential each student bring their own laptop.

Lunch and light refreshments will be provided.
The cost of this course is $495 (ex) per person (includes CR300004 Red Lion HMI).

Course Description

Who should attend?

This course is an introduction to Red Lion Crimson 3.1 software, that is intended for anyone who has an ongoing need to program and deploy HMI’s in any automation application.

Are there any prerequisites?

Participants should be comfortable operating in a Microsoft Windows environment. Participants should have a basic understanding of HMI fundamentals.

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • • Download / upload config through various mediums
  • • Connect to remote IO and skilfully convert data between various protocols
  • • Build a Tag database with applied scaling, formatting, and alarms
  • • Create colourful interactive HMI pages
  • • Create triggered and continuous data logs
  • • Remote access the HMI
  • • Basic C code programming
  • • Configure alarm notifications via SMS and Email

Course Conditions

There is a minimum participant requirement for the course to proceed. Full payment is required prior to course commencement. Cancellation fees of 15% will apply if less than 48 hour notice is given.
